Over at Kirkus: THE STRANGE CASE OF THE ALCHEMIST’S DAUGHTER by Theodora Goss

We are over at Kirkus today for our regular column! It’s Thea’s turn this time, with a review of The Strange Case of the Alchemist’s Daughter by Theodora Goss.

A feminist mashup of literary classics from the 1800s, The Strange Case of the Alchemist’s Daughter follows Mary Jekyll as she discovers her long lost sister, Diana Hyde, and then teams up with Sherlock Holmes and Watson to find other sister-monsters: Beatrice Rappaccini, Catherine Moreau, and Justine Frankenstein. This is a tale about monstrous daughters and evil fathers, with a dash of The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen mixed in with Jessica Jones season 2. Do I need to say more? Go over to Kirkus to get the full review!
