More than 1.5 million of your fellow readers set personal reading goals for the year, pledging to collectively read more than 70 million books. So we were curious: What are the most popular new books being read in the first month of 2018 Reading Challenge?
Looking at Goodreads members' beginning-of-the-year reading habits, we see that the big political book of the season—Fire & Fury—garnered lots of attention and has easily been the most-read book. Beyond that, the data shows you're losing yourselves in new mysteries and thrillers (from The Woman in the Window to Tips for Living, five of the top 12 books fall into this category), as well as some buzzy young adult fantasy novels and a healthy dose of romance.
